Full Property Description

The site was chosen for its magnificent panoramic view of the Pyrenees and the house was designed to take maximum advantage of this. The living accommodation is on two floors with a basement beneath.

One enters the house into an entrance hall running east to west and has a wide expanse of windows opposite, giving views due south over the garden and countryside, to the mountains beyond. 

The hall joins the two wings of the house. From here, stairs descend to the sous-sol area, where there is a single garage opening to the rear of the house, and also two storage rooms, useful for tools and gardening equipment. Behind this garage there is a 5000 litre rainwater storage tank which is used to flush the lavatories and to feed two outside taps.

To the right of the front door, the hallway leads past a w.c. and a door leading into the double garage to the front of the property, on to the entrance to the large studio. 

STUDIO ...
The studio, which is open up to the roof beams, has a lovely arched window to the south and a large velux in the roof, making it very light and airy. A kitchen/office opens off this room, and there is a door to a private terrace over-looking the garden to the rear. 

This wing of the house could be used as an independent apartment with the kitchen/office easily alterable to make another bathroom .

To the left of the entrance hallway, one enters the sitting room, with a beautiful hand-carved fireplace in Spanish limestone, and a dining area with windows and french doors opening to the south-facing covered terrace.

GARDEN ...

This can be rolled back during swimming, or removed completely for the summer. At the pool house is an outside hot shower and a summer kitchen.
