Ribemont, a small market town rich in history, is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the château, having a small museum, large supermarket and petrol station, artisan boulangerie, restaurant, pizza parlour, pharmacy and tabac.

Just outside the grounds of the chateau runs the small tourist train, taking in the scenery of the L'Oise valley.From time to time, the dining car, reminiscent of the Orient Express steams along the tracks, offering luxury dining of a bygone age.

The City of St Quentin, 15kms from Lucy, is best known for the Basilique and is a bustling City full of artisan and designer shops, street cafes and beautiful Gothic architecture. A large market is held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Parc Asterix and Disneyland, Château de Pierrefonds (from the TV series Merlin) and dozens of other attractions are also within an hour or so to drive, paintball, golf, tennis are all within 5kms. You can also discover the river L'Oise by kayak with a half or full day river tour from St Quentin.

The main property consists of a large entrance hall (4m x 6.3m) with sitting room 5.7m x 6m) and dining room (5.7m x 8.5m) to the right as you enter.  If you stand in the entrance hall and look straight ahead there is a door beside the staircase which leads down to the basement.  Half way up the main staircase is a large stained glass window of St Anthony, painted by E. Zilles, Paris.  On the way down to the basement is a door which takes you outside to the rear of the property.  

If you stand in the main property entrance hall and turn left, there is the corridor to the kitchen with 4 doors on the right hand side of the corridor leading to

GITE ...
The gite is in the oldest part of the property and has its own entrance hall and entrance at the rear of the property on the ground floor.  The hallway also has access to the laundry. (The laundry can be accessed from the gite hallway or from the corridor on the ground floor of the chateau)..  On the first floor of the gite are 2 bedrooms (2.6m x 2.3m & 2.9m x 3.2m), a large bathroom with walk in shower, roll top bath, toilet and basin.  There is also a large sitting room with dining area and kitchen area (5m x 6.6m).  A staircase leads up to the tower room which is the 3rd bedroom in the gite.

If you stand outside the front of the property, along the left side, you will see windows along the ground floor.  This was the orangery and is a separate self contained unit with large kitchen/living room (3.8m x 10m), walk in shower and bedroom (3.6m x 3.7m).
