The Clisson Estate
Nestled in the heart of a vast 2.5-hectare (25,260 m²) estate, this small historic château covering 420 m² was built in the 13th century and embodies the timeless charm of a historic residence. With its 17 rooms, including 8 spacious bedrooms, it offers an exceptional living environment, conducive to relaxation and conviviality.
Upon entering the estate, visitors pass under the vaulted ceiling of the dovecote, which was probably built at the same time as the first part of the château. The main entrance to the building is in the tower at the corner of the two wings. After passing through the massive entrance door and leaving the venerable stone staircase leading to the upper floor on the right, a door opens opposite onto the vast dining room (80 m²). The dominant colour here is red. The walls are panelled, the exposed beam ceiling is shimmering, while the floor, with integrated heating, is tiled with Burgundy stone. At the back of the room, an impressive granite fireplace occupies most of the wall.
On the left side, double doors open onto the spacious kitchen (33 m²), equipped with a superb antique stove, still in working order, ideal for food lovers.
Also in the kitchen, a door opens onto a hallway leading to a shower room with toilet and a staircase leading down to the first cellar (with oil-fired boiler and fuel tanks). The building has two cellars, the first under the kitchen and the second under the large living room.
In the opposite corner of the kitchen, a small door leads to the storeroom, located in the lower part of the second tower of the château.
A third door leads to the ground floor corridor, which provides access to the small lounge and the billiard room, whose walls are completely panelled and covered with bookshelves. The third door in the corridor leads to the large drawing room. This remarkable room (46 m²), which is very bright, is ideal for family gatherings or elegant soirées. It opens directly onto the south terrace and its windows offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding park.

The large barn (180 m²) has an asphalt floor throughout, making it suitable for use as a shelter for various events or even a garage for several vehicles.
Other outbuildings: a former sheepfold with a rubble stone floor, a wine press (mechanism present but dismantled), a bakery (whose oven has been dismantled), a stable (for a single animal). These are currently unused and serve as storage rooms.

A meteorite.
Terracotta tiles of various sizes from the castle, corresponding to floor coverings from different periods.
Coins, including a small terracotta disc with a hole in the centre, which until the Middle Ages in certain regions were used as small change. Less ancient coins, dating from the Second Empire to the Vichy period of the Second World War.
Terracotta marbles, such as those used by children before the First World War.
